Re: Yard dogs.
Well I picked up a pup , male and it has the most beautiful color of hair , almost like a golden retriever just more bronze then gold colored . Seems very attentive for a young pup ? I have him in a kennel during the day while at work and no accidents ? which is great ! might just be the one ?

Re: Yard dogs.
Prairie dog, how is your pup doing?
We were fortunate to get 2 Norwegian elkhound pups a few weeks ago. They are now about 2 1/2 months old. They are growing like weeds. One will certainly be large (we're guessing 75 lb) and the other one will be slightly smaller.
They are starting go exhibit some of the breed traits as they get to be older. It is so good to see. They are not chewers, jumpers nor nippers...so good. We are also happy that one is starting to show the herding trait. The other will be a great guard. They are both heavy as bricks, fuzzy as any Gund and already so very fast. We are happy that our old gal is still around to teach them what she knows.
We are looking forward to seeing less of that fox and its buddies this spring and fall.
