I've started a kickstarter project
For those interested or who would like to spread the word, here it is. If you have one of your own, do share!

Re: I've started a kickstarter project
I know this has been explained to me once, but to be honest, I don't get it. What is a kick starter, other than a short handle you leap upon to fire up your dirt bike?

Re: I've started a kickstarter project
When we finally do something that needs and extra boost (we have our own ideas), we will try out this site. I like it a bit better for a few reasons: https://www.indiegogo.com/
One suggestion about the rewards (farm gate related), if they are not interested in the edibles or cannot pick up, is there any way that you can donate produce (meat, veg, fruit, or something else if this is not viable under the law) to a local food bank/shelter in the contributor's name? That might make people a little more eager to give more, and everyone knows that those people need better food than the canned and boxed junk that they call food. Even if you could donate some time to those places in their name, it might be a good move.
Way to go! It is a brave thing to put yourself out there in this way.

Great idea to do this Sweetened. I just read about your goal and I like the idea of this program to collect funds. I also like the indiegogo page.
I never heard about these programs and I love it!

Re: I've started a kickstarter project
Indiegogo and gofund me are similar, but are one of those 'you get funded anyway'. I like this idea that if there's not the support there, I don't get anything and I'm not obligated to provide the rewards to people, as those are ONLY if things are funded.
Unfortunately, you cannot actively offer people to have an item donated or for funds to go somewhere other than the project. It's against kickstarter policy as funding has to be for an end result, rather than just funds raffling.
It's an interesting thing, I've been surprised by the things like $100 donation I recieved yesterday and so on. It's very interesting, trying to spread the word but a lot of places have rules about posting kickstarter campaigns (kijiji, reddit and so on).
Thanks for the link Fowler, and everyone for their comments!

Re: I've started a kickstarter project
So..if someone has a goal of raising $1000, but they only raise $900, does the money get refunded to the donators or does the fundraising campaign keep the money?
IT's probably somewhere in the fine print but I can no longer read fine print.

Re: I've started a kickstarter project
The project is cancelled, donaters are refunded and there are no fees from kickstarter.
