What tractor to buy ?

Hi All

Going to sell my kubota BX25 and get a bigger machine , after looking around and price was a big factor , The next bigger kubota was way out of my price range so i got it down to this

1. Kioti CK30 HST with loader and backhoe
2. Mahindra 3016 with loader and backhoe

Both machines cost the same

here is what im stuck on.  the kioti CK30 is 30HP with a loader lift of 1150lbs overall weight is 5300 lbs with 30Hp ,PTO 22hp

The mahindra 3016  has a loader lift of 2,646 lbs overall weight is  4400lb with 28HP and 21 HP PTO


so the mahindra has a nice lift at 2646 lbs but is 900lbs lighter and 2 less HP


any one have have any input ?

Lift will be more important than HP if the main use is moving around bales and such. At least that's what my bro told me as I'm looking into a skidsteer.

Hey

I was thinking the same kinda, i thought a round bale was 700Lbs dry something in that range anyway so should be ok for that but im sure other stuff going to be much more, I was kinda shocked with the lift on the kioti my little BX can almost do that. True HP is not that big a deal. also the mahindra 3016 has skidsteer mounts so i can use forks

Still not sure on the total weight of the units, as thats the biggest downfall of my BX25 is the weight lots of power just to light

so is the less weight of the mahindra going to be a problem im thinking not but not sure

Got a test drive set of both machines next month

I think the weight would only be a real issue in deeper snow or muck.

If you're test driving next month you should have a good idea if the weight is an issue with everything melting.
