Another Saskie ;)

Hi, folks.

JJ from north/central SK here.

We have ten acres right now, with fifteen goats, who knows how many chickens (fifty or so), a couple of alpacas, and an assortment of dogs and cats. We moved here in 2011, and got right to it - gardening, planting fruit trees, etc. Homesteading has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I'm glad I got a chance to move to the country!

I grew up in Saskatoon, but spent a decade or so in Alberta before getting the opportunity to move back to SK. My husband is an Alberta boy who still seems to think that it's spring as soon as March rolls around. We have a toddler and a baby on the way, so we're trying to scale back the workload for this year, but of course, scaling back is a relative term. It's going to be a busy summer for us, regardless!

I'm happy to see a forum that's a little closer to home for me...looking forward to gardening info that's actually coming from within a couple of growing zones of us!
