Hello everyone,
I noticed the message about this forum and thought it would be nice to join.
I'm a widow with 3 kids. My daughters live in Europe, my son lives with me.
I have 4 cats and 1 dog.
I have a small acreage and will get a little cabin on it this Spring. I want to make it solar powered, and heat from a wood stove.
Also propane for back up heat, cooking, fridge and hot water.
It will be an adventure and can't wait to live on my own land. It will be a huge challenge during winter, but I believe I can do it.
I have 2 horses (at my friends place right now), but once living on my acreage they come with me and I will get a few rescue horses/ponies and re-train them with use of clicker training. It's my passion, clicker training horses.
Once re-trained, I hope to find good homes for them. If not, then I keep them and continue training. (with horses you always keep teaching. :-) ) I work from home, giving clicker training lessons to horse owners and have a couple of very committed students.
Until I can move to my acreage, I live in my house in town.

I will create an organic vegetable garden and herb garden.
I already started some seeds indoor and it's growing like crazy. LOL Love it. I hope it all will survive until I can plant outside. It's always a challenge to keep things healthy and strong until after the last frost, right?
I bought all my seeds at the Heritage Harvest Seeds. I thought it was nice to buy from someplace close/ Canadian.

Anyway....hope to learn and share lots here. Now let it be Spring, as I am very tired of this long long winter. LOL

Perhaps not.  I went into the admin panel and the email is different.  Quite interesting though, as your story is similar.  So embarassed:oops:
